More than classroom learning.
A stronger school experience is shaped by more than classroom learning alone. Through Sekolah Angkat MADANI, Yayasan Sime Darby supports schools as spaces where students and teachers can learn, connect, and grow in a more encouraging environment. Across these schools, employees and partners also volunteer on the ground, extending support through education, sports, environmental awareness, community and health initiatives, and arts and cultural exposure. Together, these efforts strengthen school communities through improvements that support learning, student participation, and day to day wellbeing.
Across the schools supported under the programme, these improvements take different forms. In some schools, the focus has been on strengthening classroom learning and widening access to better teaching tools and student opportunities. In others, support has helped create more welcoming spaces for students to gather, collaborate, and engage beyond formal lessons. Together, these efforts reflect a broader view of school wellbeing, one that recognises the value of supportive environments in shaping confidence, motivation, and participation.

SK Ladang Dublin
At SK Ladang Dublin, support has contributed to a more interactive learning environment through digital tools and STEM exposure, while reinforcing the school’s wider efforts to support students who need additional help in reading. Dr Shariman Alwani noted that access to better learning tools and wider exposure helps the students participate more actively and see new possibilities for themselves, pointing to stronger classroom engagement, robotics participation, and continued progress in reading support.

Stronger school communities
Together, these examples point to a shared goal across the programme: helping schools become stronger environments for learning, confidence, and student development.
Through Sekolah Angkat MADANI, schools are receiving more than upgrades to spaces and facilities. They are gaining stronger foundations for participation, confidence, and growth, reflecting a wider effort to support school communities today while preparing students more fully for the future.
